Our sixth form nurtures confident, resilient individuals ready for future challenges. We empower students to pursue their passions, excel in their learning, and make a positive impact on society.
Our Intent
Our Sixth Form provision is designed to empower our students, ensuring they develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for adulthood. Rooted in the Preparation for Adulthood (PFA) framework, our curriculum provides a highly personalised, ambitious, and meaningful learning experience, equipping students for their next steps in further education, employment, independent or supported living, and active participation in their communities. Our intent is to:

In our post-16 programme, I believe in the power of high expectations for every learner, no matter their background or starting point. We see each student as full of potential, and it’s our mission to help them realise it. Through personalised support and encouragement, I aim to open doors to further education, meaningful employment, and the confidence to live independently or with support.
TVS Sixth Form Curriculum
Our Sixth-Form curriculum is designed to support students by allowing them to immerse themselves in subjects and topics they love. They can focus on vocational development or pursue academic interests alongside their passions and talents. This includes outcomes related to employment, relationships, and community, including the use of free time to support general well-being.
We provide a person-centred approach where the curriculum adapts to the student, recognising and catering to the unique needs, aspirations, and learning styles of each student.
We offer a range of pathways and external accreditations tailored to the needs, passions, and skills of our students that recognise student achievements and support their post-19 transitions:

The TVS study programme is specifically designed to address the unique learning requirements of our diverse student population. Maths for life, English, and ICT are embedded throughout the curriculum, and students can earn additional awards recognised by colleges and employers.
Key Curriculum Areas
Enrichment Programme
To enrich and variety to our vocational programs, we offer regular opportunities for students to develop new skills and interests outside of their core programme of study. Each week, a diverse range of classes is available, allowing students to explore various disciplines throughout the year. These mini-enrichment opportunities have a profound impact on our students. They help build confidence, foster independence, and ignite a passion for lifelong learning. Students can enrol on several of these mini-enrichment opportunities during their time here, examples of which include:
